PHIL LANCE / CANADIAN AUTHOR
A reader first.
An author at last.
I’ve dreamed of putting my own stories on paper for years. Now, I’m finally giving myself permission to do it.
01 / THE FIRST WORLDS
A love of other worlds.
Fantasy and science fiction have been part of my life since childhood. Star Wars, Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings… These worlds fuelled my imagination long before I started creating my own.
In high school, I discovered the joy of reading, helped along by the adventures of a certain young wizard—you probably know who I mean. I became an avid reader, with a persistent desire to tell stories of my own.
02 / BEHIND THE KEYBOARD
Curious by profession
and by nature.
By day, I’m an IT technician. I enjoy taking problems apart, understanding how things work, and investigating what I haven’t figured out yet. So I feel right at home behind my keyboard, exploring the worlds and characters that live in my imagination.
Video games, role-playing games, photography, and human history—from antiquity to the present—are also passions of mine. Each offers a way to explore, imagine, and see things from a different angle.
03 / THE JOURNEY BEGINS
Bringing my stories to life.
My first project, Atlantis Rising, is a fantasy and LitRPG series currently in development. It explores magic, discovery, and the growth of characters trying to find their place in a world far larger than they imagined.
On this site, I also share my journey as a new author: ideas taking shape, challenges, experiments, and the pleasure of watching a story move forward. This adventure is only beginning, and I’m happy to share it with you.
